Sebenzela Market Solutions – HR/IR Officer Wanted

Introduction

A Company in the hospitality industry is seeking a HR/IR Officer to take over its portfolio of restaurants in and around Gauteng.

Duties & Responsibilities

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS FUNCTIONS

Conduct Disciplinary Measures as per the Company’s Policies and Procedures.

Chair Disciplinary Hearings, Chair Performance Investigations, Facilitate Counselling Sessions, Issuing of   warnings as well as the facilitation of Grievance Hearings.

  1. Administration.
    • Typing of judgments, minutes and records of discussions. Formulating bundles for dispute resolution. Filing of documents issued any typing of any other legal documentations.
  2. Ensure Legal compliance with relevant Labour legislation.
    • Maintain compliance with the Bargaining Council, LRA, OCHSA, COIDA. Develop and administer Company Policies in line with Labour Legislation. Study and be informed of all changes to Labour Legislation.
  3. Dispute Resolution.
    • Attend all CCMA processes on behalf of the Company, preparation for CCMA processes including documents, evidence and witnesses. Facilitation of Conciliations and Condonations.
  4. Resolving Internal Disputes.
    • Facilitate the resolution of grievances, industrial action and / or collective bargaining disputes. Maintaining good relationships between Employers and Employees.
  5. Consultation.
    • Advise, guide and oversee the implementation of Disciplinary action. Act as a helpdesk for management.
  6. General Assistance in the Human Resources Department.
    • Assist in general Human Resources duties by providing support in terms of Administration, Statutory Compliance and Employee Well-being.

This role will also entail the following basic HR functions such as recruitment, interviewing, maintenance of employee records and employee wellbeing.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The ideal candidate should have the relvant degree in HR or IR and should mee the following minimum criteria:

1. Atleast 1-2 years IR experience

2. Atleast 2-3 years HR experience

3. Have a valid drivers license

4. CCMA / Bargaining Council experience is essential

5. Computer literacy is preferred

Package & Remuneration

R16’000.00 – R18’000.00
